Alice Lloyd-Fitt, Propagation Officer at Dunedin Botanic Garden - a tour of the brand new propagation facilities.  Meet at Lovelock Avenue car park

September 5, Saturday 10.30am
The Annual Dead-Headers Picnic – meet Marianne Groothuis, camellia curator, at the camellia collection, lower botanic garden.  Some dead-heading followed by cake, tea and coffee, to celebrate the volunteers who help dead-head the collection and keep the camellias beautiful.

September 26-27, Saturday and Sunday
Dunedin Horticultural Society Spring Show, including camellias on show and in competition

October 3-4, Saturday and Sunday
Our inaugural Camellia and Alpine combined Show 2015:  An extravaganza of flower and plant displays and competitions.  Plant sales tables of alpines and woodland plants
$5 entry, members free

November 14, Saturday, 11am
Garden visits to historic Olveston then Kanuka Ridge, 73 Rockside Road, Gretchen and John Henderson.  Followed by lunch, 1pm at Filadelfios Pizza Restaurant


History
The Branch was set up after Raewyn Wilson , put a notice inThe Otago Daily Times calling for interested people to attend the inaugural meeting on 223 November 1989. The first show was held on September 1991.
